Cliff at Lyons is an elegant new resort located on the edge of the Lyons Demesne in County Kildare, Ireland. The resort features an unusual collection of historic rose-clad cottages, a mill, and a former dovecot that is scattered throughout orchards and sprawling gardens on the banks of the Grand Canal.

Beautifully restored, each of the 39 rooms have been individually designed to reflect old and new, in a mix of granite-covered Georgian buildings and charming cottages. Overlooking splashing fountains, the Estate and Lilypond Rooms feature contemporary accents and modern bathrooms, while the traditional two and three-bedroom cottages are ideal for families and groups, with large communal rooms and kitchens.

Cliff at Lyons boasts two restaurants, The Orangery and Trellis. Located in a sun-filled conservatory, The Orangery is surrounded by glass walls with the scent of a fig tree mingling with the aromas of the kitchen, which produces delicate dishes served on bone-white china. Led by Head Chef Nathan Dimond and Executive Chef Martijn Kajuiter, the menu is inspired by the seasons, with a twist on traditional Irish recipes. Just a few steps away, Trellis offers guests casual, all-day dining, perfect for coffee, snacks or more substantial meals. Lastly, there is the aptly named Lyons’ Den, where a fire is always crackling next to the traditional bar and carefully curated wine cellar.
Down the floral walkways is the recently opened Garden spa retreat, The Well, which allows guests a unique opportunity to absorb the surroundings from a breathtaking relaxation room. Designed by an award-winning therapist, the unique signature treatments include Peat for the Feet, Hug of the Hands Massage and a Hot Towel Head & Scalp Ritual. All centre around a new line of custom-made products that utilise rich indigenous ingredients such as carrageen moss and Irish peat.
