The Luxury Report caught up with hotel director Robin Randolph to discover more about this picture perfect pocket of Caribbean perfection.
The Luxury Report: Introduce us to Villa Renaissance, what type of guests do you attract?
Robin Randolph: Villa Renaissance is a top-rated resort that attracts a variety of guests, from families and couples, to honeymooners and singles. People visit us primarily from the US, Canada and the UK, although many also come from different parts of the world. Our guests are looking to relax and enjoy our deluxe accommodations, a tranquil ocean front setting and some of the best dining in the Caribbean.
TLR: What makes Villa Renaissance stand out from other hotels on the Turks and Caicos Islands?
RR: We are a small, quiet, quaint property located in what is now considered the heart of the new downtown on Ventura Drive, Grace Bay. We are within easy walking distance to many fine restaurants, shops and a gourmet grocery store. Renting a car is not necessary, but should you choose to, our rental car partner is just a block from Villa Renaissance and our Concierge is happy to assist. We have free parking and complementary bicycles. On-site, we have a full-service bar with an extensive food menu – including delicious breakfasts – and also pool and beach service. Also, the kitchens in our villas are fully appointed with everything you need to prepare meals. And we can also arrange for private chefs to prepare gourmet meals for you in your villa. So if families just want to relax in a home-from-home environment they can.
TLR: Please highlight some of the amenities at the resort, and also some of the activities you offer.
RR: We have all your creature comforts, including washer/dryer, Egyptian cotton linens, wi-fi, luxury bath towels and robes.
We also have a fitness centre, tennis and pickle ball court and complementary bicycles. For total relaxation, there is a hot tub, a large pool with attendant and a full complement of pool and beach furniture. There is also a beach attendant for your added safety. We offer a once-weekly yoga class and are happy to help book watersports, snorkelling, cocktail cruises, horse riding and golf. Our Concierge is also happy to arrange in-room or on-the-beach massages.
TLR: What do you feel impresses your guests most about Villa Renaissance?
RR: They love the whole experience, and you will not find a better view of the beach and Caribbean at any other property on Grace Bay. Our guests continually rave about the views from their balconies as they enjoy their morning coffee, evening cocktails or just sitting out soaking up the sunrise and sunset on the world’s best beach.
