Celebrate National Margarita Day In Style

National Margarita Day is a day to celebrate one of the most popular and beloved cocktails in the world. The margarita, a refreshing blend of tequila, triple sec, and lime juice, has a rich and colorful history that spans several decades and countries. Whether you prefer it on the rocks, frozen, or with a salted rim, there is a margarita for every taste and occasion. In this article, we will explore how you can join the festivities on February 22nd. Cheers!

Bar Antoine Introduces… the ‘Saltburn Margarita’

After hosting the EE BAFTA Rising Star Party on 31st January, Bar Antoine created the Saltburn Margarita in honour of nominee Jacob Elordi, which is now available for guests to try in the bar until the end of February or to make at home using the recipe below.

The Saltburn Margarita is made with 90ml of Don Julio Blanco tequila, 50ml of freshly squeezed lime juice and sweetened with 20ml of agave nectar, which can be substituted with sugar syrup, and a spicy glass rim.

To recreate it, pour all three ingredients into a cocktail shaker filled with ice and shake. Pass a fresh lime wedge around the rim of your chosen glassware and dip into a plate filled with Espelette or chilli powder. Finally, fill your glass with ice, pour in your now-shaken cocktail through a strainer or simply head to Bar Antoine and enjoy!
