Bottega Veneta, the luxury fashion brand renowned for its handcrafted leather goods, footwear and ready-to-wear collections, has opened its first boutique designed by its creative director Matthieu Blazy in the historic Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II in Milan. The Galleria, built in 1865, is a neo-classical, glass-vaulted shopping arcade that is one of Milan’s most prestigious and iconic landmarks. It hosts some of the world’s most famous luxury brands, such as Prada, Louis Vuitton and Gucci, as well as cafes, restaurants and cultural institutions.

The new Bottega Veneta store is the third one in Milan, joining the existing ones on Via Montenapoleone and Via Sant’Andrea. It spans approximately 2,600 square feet (242 m2) over two levels and showcases Blazy’s innovative vision, which combines elements of Italian modernist architecture with a futuristic aesthetic. The store features three main materials: glass, Italian walnut and green Verde Saint Denis marble, arranged in geometric grids to create a sense of order and harmony. The centerpiece is a grand winding walnut staircase that connects the two floors and symbolizes strength and warmth.

The store houses an exquisite collection of leather goods, footwear and women’s ready-to-wear that represents the pinnacle of style and elegance. Blazy, who joined Bottega Veneta in 2022, has been praised for his fresh and bold approach to the brand’s heritage and craftsmanship. He has introduced new shapes, colors and textures to the iconic intrecciato weave, as well as new accessories and clothing lines that have been well-received by critics and customers alike.

The opening of the new boutique in the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II marks a new chapter in the history of Bottega Veneta, which was founded in 1966 in Vicenza, Italy. The brand, which belongs to the Kering group, has over 270 stores worldwide and is committed to social and environmental responsibility.
