Qatar Executive (QE) is the private jet charter division of Qatar Airways, and was launched in 2009 to provide bespoke, luxury air travel for high-net-worth individuals, government officials and corporate clients. It was initially created to meet the growing demand for private aviation in the Middle East and then subsequently became a global offering of private, personalised, flexible travel, and a luxurious alternative to commercial flights.

Qatar Executive’s service is designed for those who seek exclusivity, privacy, and convenience, providing access to a modern fleet of aircraft – recently streamlined to predominantly Gulfstream – specialising in ultra-long-range travel. With worldwide reach, QE offers tailored flight schedules, access to smaller more private terminals, and customised in-flight experiences, ensuring clients enjoy the highest levels of comfort and service. Qatar Executive supports Qatar Airways’ global growth by diversifying its offerings and catering to the high-end corporate jet market. The Luxury Report spoke to a representative of Qatar Executive to find out more about this exclusive charter division.

QE: Don’t forget the exceptional in-flight service! There are any number of details our clients are looking for. By utilising smaller, more private airports and offering flexible departure times, passengers enjoy swift border control processes
and a more personalised travel experience. Privacy is another major factor, and QE always prioritises privacy and discretion, ensuring anonymity for our passengers.

Safety is of course another reason why many choose to fly private and QE has always maintained an impeccable safety record with cabin crew trained to commercial airline standards – something most private operators do not offer.

As QE has streamlined its fleet to almost 90% Gulfstream aircraft, our cabins offer significant fatigue- reducing qualities. These include lower cabin pressure levels to that of commercial airlines, constantly refreshed air passing through the cabin every 2-3 minutes with an air ionising system that reduces airborne bacteria by 99%, and very low cabin noise levels. Qatar Executive recently added the all- new Gulfstream G700 to its growing fleet. What makes this aircraft special?

QE: As the first commercial operator and official launch partner of the Gulfstream G700, Qatar Executive is setting a new standard for ultra-long- range jets. The G700 offers unprecedented range, comfort, and the latest state-of-the-art technological advancements, raising the bar for luxury air travel. With a range of 7,750 nautical miles (14,353km), it enables non-stop flights between major global cities, catering to high-profile clients who value efficiency and privacy. Its spacious cabin, luxurious interiors, and cutting-edge features, such as advanced safety systems and high-speed wi-fi, appeal to those seeking the pinnacle of excellence. When combined with the unparalleled service of QE cabin crew, the experience offered is always second to none.

Qatar Executive currently owns four G700s, with plans for additional deliveries in the very near future – which will see a total of 10 G700s added to our already premium fleet. The acquisition of the G700 reinforces QE’s position as a leader in the business jet charter market.

Tell us a little about the rest of the QE fleet.

QE: Qatar Executive boasts one of the youngest and most technologically advanced fleets in the world, including
as mentioned above the Gulfstream G700, but also 15 Gulfstream G650ER, 2 Bombardier Global 5000 and an Airbus A319C. Having such variety allows QE to cater to a wide range of customer needs, offering flexibility in travel distance, capacity, and luxury. Additionally, the fleet variety enhances operational flexibility, allowing QE to match aircraft to the specific demands of routes and customers, ensuring efficiency and optimal use of resources.

How does QE’s fleet reflect the future of ultra-luxury travel, and how does it align with the increased demand for sustainable yet opulent aviation experiences?

QE: As previously mentioned, QE has streamlined its fleet with almost 90% of its aircraft being either Gulfstream G700 or Gulfstream G650ER’s, representing the future of ultra-luxury travel by combining cutting- edge innovation with a commitment to sustainability.

Both aircraft types feature advanced aerodynamics and efficient Rolls-Royce engines, significantly reducing fuel consumption and overall emissions.

Qatar Executive also operates what we call a “floating fleet”, meaning QE aircraft are not based at a specific home airport but are constantly on the move, repositioning as needed to meet customer demand and minimising the flying required to move from one customer to the next. Since the aircraft are already in or near major regions of demand, repositioning time and fuel required are minimised, this leads to lower fuel consumption and contributes to more sustainable flying requirements – as well as faster customer response times.

We are continually exploring new technologies and practices to minimise our overall impact, and where available up to 100% sustainable aviation fuel (SAF). We look forward to a world where SAF is more accessible and also cost efficient for both operators and passengers alike.
