Having started life in Paris just five years ago, Bustronome is the latest fine dining experience to take to London’s streets.
Merging the thrill of sight seeing with a top tier dining experience, guests are able to enjoy travelling in style around the city’s major landmarks aboard the top deck of a hi-spec, glass-roofed bus.
The current summer menu boasts a full six courses, with dishes such as crab and artichoke gateau in a crab and wasabi sauce and roasted guinea fowl on the menu. Whilst aboard, guests can also use audio pens to touch landmarks on the map menus to discover facts about the city.
Each bus caters to 38 people seated on the top deck, each of whom are able to comfortably delight in 360° views of the city. Starting out at Embankment, the tour then heads to Tower Bridge before going West to the Royal Albert Hall and checking off all of the essential London landmarks such as the London Eye and Buckingham Palace en route.
Founders Jean-Christophe Fournier and Bertrand Matthieu sought to revolutionise the pop up experience through combining the idea of an informal dining experience with sight seeing.
Whether you are visiting the city as a tourist or simply intrigued by the novelty of a travelling restaurant the experience will not disappoint.
Bustronome London aims to soon catch up with their sister branch in Paris by increasing the number of buses on the road. Future plans for the company also include expanding into other major cities such as NYC, Las Vegas and Madrid.
