South Kensington Estates unveils Baxter to join Brompton Design District showroom portfolio

South Kensington Estates has signed Italian design brand Baxter for a UK in the Brompton Estate, part of Brompton Design District.

The handcrafted furniture brand will open a 3,313 sq ft store at 232-236 Brompton Road, having taken a 20-year lease at a rent of £265k pa.

The new flagship will serve as a design gallery, with ample space dedicated to interior design. Visitors will have the opportunity to explore pieces from the Baxter collection, exploring the company’s style in an evocative setting.

A perfect blend marked by the union of design and material, in which the final outcome takes shape in the overall vision defined by stylistic and chromatic combinations, the result of constant creative research.

Paolo Bestetti, CEO, Baxter: “It is with great pride that Baxter announces the upcoming opening of its new flagship store in London, an international hub for design, architecture, and real estate development.

We have chosen this location, which is rapidly becoming a focal point in the city for the celebration of design and, above all, Made-in-Italy luxury, which we are proud to represent. Additionally, the building is renowned for its fascinating architecture and a perfect reinterpretation of a historical structure, which itself has a captivating story to tell. These important values align perfectly with Baxter’s ethos.”

Richard Blake, Property Director, South Kensington Estates, said: “We are excited to welcome Baxter to Brompton as the latest signing, showcasing South Kensington Estates’ ongoing commitment to championing design innovation. Baxter’s addition strengthens our portfolio of leading Italian design showrooms, further enhancing Brompton’s status as a premier destination for design enthusiasts.

As we continue to evolve and grow our design offerings, we attract both flagship stores and smaller concept boutiques. We are dedicated to fostering a vibrant and dynamic area that supports the success of our partners, and we look forward to welcoming more exceptional brands to our community.”
