Kick back to the great outdoors

Embracing the magnificent Ayrshire coastline, a much-loved Scottish hotel has revealed plans for a new £3m spa to open in spring 2025

Ayrshire’s leading hospitality group, SimpsInns, has revealed its plans to launch a new £3m sea-view spa in spring 2025. The Waterside Hotel at West Kilbride will be the home of the new state-of-the-art spa with its commanding coastal views over the Firth of Clyde towards the Isle of Arran.

Newly released computer-generated images offer a first impression of what people can expect to see when The Waterside opens the doors to the new spa and 17 additional guest rooms early next year. Special features will include six treatment rooms, a four-person Rasul experience, an indoor thermal area with sauna and steam room, as well as three experience showers. The new spa will overlook the beach and will have a strong focus on the outdoors with a large hydro pool, outdoor shower, cold bucket, a sheltered firepit and seating area.

Located just 40 minutes from Glasgow, The Waterside will begin work on its transformation over the winter months. Once complete, the major project will create 30 new jobs, including 25 in the spa and an additional five people in housekeeping.
