From Monet to Minerals: Berkeley Square Fair Returns This October with Over 80 World-Class Exhibitors and Exciting New Fringe Events
London’s premier art and antiques event, the LAPADA Berkeley Square Fair, is set to return to its iconic Mayfair location from October 23rd to 27th, 2024, with an exclusive Press Preview on October 22nd. In this landmark year, which also marks the 50th anniversary of the LAPADA Association, the fair promises an unrivalled showcase of exceptional art, antiques, design, and innovation.
LAPADA Berkeley Square Fair caps off London’s international art fair season and is perfectly timed for collectors and art lovers seeking rare investment pieces or special holiday gifts ahead of the festive season. With over 80 world-class exhibitors, the fair offers a rich experience for both seasoned connoisseurs and the new generation of collectors who value craftsmanship and heritage. Set in Mayfair, renowned for its luxury retail, galleries, and private clubs, the fair benefits from its prime location, with visitors spending over £10 million during the event.
2024 Highlights
80+ Exhibitors – This year’s lineup features an exceptional variety of fine art, jewellery, sculpture, antiquities, furniture, clocks, crystals, and minerals. Returning exhibitors include renowned specialists such as Carole Tresor, Butchoff Antiques, The Parker Gallery, Lennox Cato Antiques, MacConnal-Mason, and The Old Corkscrew, alongside exciting new names like Olga Lagbesi, VANT, and Gallery V from Schwyz.
Partnership with Fromental – LAPADA and Fromental, renowned for their luxurious handpainted wallpapers join forces this year on two Fair elements. The Berkeley Square Collective stand, with interior designer Stephaine Barba Mendoza, will show a curated selection of art & antiques amidst a backdrop of a newly commissioned wallpaper design, Nobuko In addition to the interior stand, Fromental’s artistry will extend beyond the walls of Berkeley Square. The venue’s exterior will be wrapped in an iconic design that celebrates the history and beauty of the square itself.
A Rare Monet – Gallery V from Schwyz will present a remarkable Monet piece, Maison à travers les roses, from the artist’s final series. The work depicts the artist’s garden in Giverny and is a key piece from the collection Monet was working on when he passed in 1926.
Mark Goodger Antiques – A stand-out item at this year’s fair is a rare Burr Walnut and Silver Mechanical Vanity Box that once belonged to Anne Sutherland-LevesonGower, Mistress of the Robes to Queen Victoria, a significant piece of royal history.
Kallos Fine Jewellery presents a range of fine pieces at this year’s fair. Kallos Fine Jewellery was created as a blend of ancient art with expertly selected and exquisitely crafted jewellery. Their collection of ancient coins, intaglios and amulets each have a unique connection to the past and are a miniature piece of ancient art in their own right.
McKenzie Art & Design present an array of stylish black and white photographs taken by Joseph McKenzie, known as the Father of Modern Scottish Photography. The group of work will include several never-seen-before fashion photographs from the 1950s from McKenzie’s time at Central St Martins.
AntikBar – London’s leading gallery specialising in original vintage posters will present a selection of original pieces at this year’s Fair. Posters covering a wide variety of subjects – travel, advertising, sport, cinema, war, propaganda – from around the world.
LAPADA Fringe: A New Cultural Celebration
New for 2024, the LAPADA Fringe brings an added layer of culture and experience to the fair, with events that highlight Mayfair’s vibrant history and creativity.
Key Fringe events include
A tour and recital at Handel Hendrix House on October 24th, offering an exclusive glimpse into the homes of composer G.F. Handel and rock icon Jimi Hendrix.
Brown’s Hotel will host an intimate event, “The Drawing Room After Dark,” along with bespoke LAPADA Fringe Art Tours for their guests.
Tamarind Mayfair, a Michelin-starred restaurant, will collaborate with the fair, providing a special link for attendees to easily reserve tables for lunch or dinner.
First-time exhibitor Heywood Hill, the London literary landmark, will display limited edition folio publications and offer visitors the opportunity to consult with experts about creating personal libraries as part of the Fringe.

Maison à travers les roses by Monet
This piece belongs to the artist’s third and final series that consists of four works. The artist was still working on this series when he died in December 1926. The eponymous first work of this series depicts the house from the same viewpoint and was acquired by the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam from Galerie Beyeler in 1959.

‘Le Miel et Le Lait’
André Masson,1968
André Masson commenced his artistic studies at the Academic Royale des Beaux Arts in Brussels, before moving to Paris in 1912 to continue his studies at the Ecole Superieure des Beaux Arts and eventually moving to United States amid the outbreak of World War II. This vibrant and visually dynamic piece was central to the artist’s ongoing exploration of Greek mythology, telling the story of the newly born Zeus and conveying the extremes of human emotion through both tragedy and comedy.
