The beautiful Swiss hotel has found the perfect solution to ease all the anxiety generated by the Covid-19 pandemic
Grand Hotel Kronenhof has found the perfect solution to ease the anxiety generated by the Covid-19 pandemic: it has created outdoor spa platforms for the summer 2020 season, designed for socially-distanced yoga, pilates and meditation classes.
The four wooden platforms (right) have been assembled across slightly different levels on a slope leading down from the Grand Hotel Kronenhof’s gardens down to the Flaz river. Incredible views of the Engadine Valley reach out to the horizon as you go through your Sun Salutations. The glistening Val Roseg glacier is clearly visible to the south while the beautiful Staz forest lies in front.
The classes, which are provided on a complementary basis by the hotel as part of its daily wellness programme (also including aqua aerobics, TRX Workout and more) are accompanied by the gentle rumblings of the river below and the sweet fragrance of wild flowers, creating an idyllic environment for wellness and relaxation.
The yoga platforms expand on Grand Hotel Kronenhof’s keen focus on the great outdoors. In addition to some of the more obvious activities on offer in the Swiss Alps, such as hiking, mountain biking and wild swimming, the hotel has incorporated goat yoga, whey baths and forest bathing into its repertoire.
All of which make it the perfect destination for those who want to get out in the fresh air and tune into a different pace of life.
