St Regis Red Sea Resort X Cristiano Ronaldo
In new video, Cristiano Ronaldo shares the one special place he visited on holiday with his family twice this year
Football legend Cristiano Ronaldo has shared with fans the one place that he recommends everyone in the world should visit, in a video released on his official new YouTube channel this week.
In March 2024, Cristiano Ronaldo, and girlfriend, Georgina Rodriguez, enjoyed a luxurious holiday at the St Regis Red Sea Resort in Saudi Arabia, as he took a break from Al Nassr’s cup-winning season. The Red Sea is a luxury tourism destination based on the west coast of Saudi Arabia, with the aim of being the world’s most ambitious regenerative tourism project.
In his new video, entitled “This is how I felt when I discovered paradise”, describing the destination as “the magical Red Sea Project”, Ronaldo states that The Red Sea is the place this year that “surprised him a lot”, one which he “recommends the whole world to visit” and “to make it happen”, calling it an “amazing, amazing place”.
St Regis Red Sea is one of three resorts currently open at The Red Sea destination, with 14 more set to open their doors throughout 2024 and 2025, including Nujuma, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve.
By 2030, when The Red Sea destination is fully complete, it will be home to 50 hotels across island and inland sites, and will also include luxury marinas, golf courses, entertainment, F&B, and leisure facilities. The destination includes pristine lands and waters, a vast archipelago of more than 90 islands, sweeping desert dunes, rugged mountain canyons, dormant volcanoes, and ancient cultural and heritage sites.
Red Sea Global (‘RSG’) is the visionary responsible developer behind this luxury and regenerative tourism destination, which is powered by 100% renewable energy. The Red Sea goes beyond sustainability to have a regenerative impact on the environment, delivering a 30% net conservation benefit to local ecosystems by 2040. It is just one of RSG’s ambitious development ventures, which also includes AMAALA and Thuwal Private Retreat, as well as the brand-new Red Sea International Airport, which is accepting both domestic and international flights and will be completely carbon-neutral when fully operational.
Interest in Saudi Arabia as a tourism destination is growing: currently, 1.2 million tourists already travel to the Red Sea coast each year.
