Your luxury spa hideaways
Between the summer sun and the bright lights of Christmas, there’s a time of peaceful serenity and mellow pleasures waiting for you on the shores of Lake Garda and in the mountains of South Tyrol. After a day spent swathing yourself in the fresh air and bright colours of nature, there is nothing better than returning to your hotel and letting yourself be pampered in an exclusive spa.
Since all good things come in threes, the 5-star Quellenhof experience is now offered at three different luxury resorts, set in the enrapturing settings of Lazise and the Passeiertal Valley.
The original resort, which has long been one of the most exclusive resorts in the Italian Alps – is Quellenhof Luxury Resort Passeier, located near the historic spa town of Meran, in South Tyrol. In spring 2019, the Dorfer family inaugurated their second resort, Quellenhof Luxury Resort Lazise, set in the stunning scenery of Lake Garda. A brand-new gem was added to the collection in 2022: Quellenhof See Lodge, a small but exquisite adults-only hideaway in the Passeiertal Valley.
Quellenhof Luxury Resort Passeier boasts a sumptuous spa extending across 10,500 square metres, with 23 saunas, including the award-winning Lake Event sauna with its Aufguss rituals. The water landscape is no less impressive and features 12 heated indoor and outdoor pools for swimming, indulging and enjoying. The resort’s Acqua Family Parc – the largest water park in South Tyrol – is designed to offer families the best experience for all age groups.
The 2,000-square-metre spa at Quellenhof Luxury Resort Lazise offers the finest in spa experiences. Guests can look forward to several treatment rooms, separate adults-only and family-friendly sauna areas, a private hairdresser and more. The year-round heated sky pool (adults only, 21 metres long) commands a wonderful view of Lake Garda. The indoor sports pool, heated year-round to a pleasant temperature, is perfect for swimming and refreshing on hot summer days. The water landscape in Lazise includes a children’s pool with two water slides and a natural swimming lake with direct access to the beautiful garden.
Opened in April 2022, the new Quellenhof See Lodge is a wellness retreat and is reserved to guests over 14 years. This new resort, tucked away in the Passeiertal valley, has been developed around a 4,500-square-metre bathing lake. The stunning Alpine scenery blends into a surprisingly harmonious whole with the Maldivian and Mediterranean hints added by the vegetation and modern architecture. The buildings are characterised by fine natural materials, such as stone and dark wood, and glass. This small but perfectly formed 5-star resort features only 26 accommodation units, ranging from stylish suites to prestigious lake-side suites with direct access to the lake and four princely villas surrounded by the lake’s clear blue waters.
In addition to the spa facilities with no equals in South Tyrol and Lazise, all three resorts offer a culinary experience of outstanding quality and variety. For example, guests at Quellenhof Passeier can choose between the classic gourmet half-board arrangement and two in-house restaurants of the finest quality: Gourmetstube 1897 (awarded three toques by Gault & Millau in 2022–23) and Sky Restaurant Teppanyaki. At Quellenhof Luxury Resort Lazise, the panoramic restaurant with its retractable roof completes the dining experience with a dreamy view of the lake. Guests at See Lodge are treated to a delectable choice of fine fish dishes in an exclusive speciality restaurant with underwater effects.
